Our motto has always been the three values of friendship, religion and community. The goal was to reflect their values in our logo as well, while maintaining a modern and elegant feeling. Most logos that we see these days that belong to Grammar Schools or Religious organization are very clustered and Clumsy. My goal was to make a logo which was modern, simplistic but still reflected our core values. I knew I had to have some variation of the youth or person symbol as that is the most efficient way of showing community. But, like the logo with a world encircled by people, It looks very cheesy and not modern or sharp. Instead of focusing first on the people I conceptualized a mosque shape in the middle based on the silhouette of a mosque. The mosque in this picture is in the top middle very clear and definite. The mosque is then encircled by a community who not only seek guidance from the religion but also support it. The people are also the youth which are working to make our community better by being part of the Ahlulbayt Student Association. The lighter blue individuals are larger with longer arms to symbolize adults and college students who are part of the organization and act as mentors for the younger audience. The younger individuals in the logo who are right under the adults are seeking guidance from the religion and the older generation. Our goal is to provide these individuals with a nourishing community and guidance so they may be able to achieve their ideal potential in this world.
The middle circle inside the mosque may be seen as a unity symbol, god, Ayatullah or maybe Imam Mehdi. Something that is the core of our religion but is maybe not definite or attainable.
